We are two girls in love.. lipstick lesbians.. femmes. We wear each other’s shoes. And we wear each other’s underwear when we can’t find our own. Sometimes, I even think we steal one another’s breath :X
We are business women. Full of energy. And vigor. So we started Wing Ma’am- the mobile app for LGBT women. We want to change the world.
This video deserves its own thread because it’s that important.
If you are not driving or operating heavy machinery, you need to look at this NOW. Like, right now.
This is why media representation matters. This is why all the POCs in just about every story being evil, dead, stupid, or non-existent is harmful.
Watch this right fucking now.
ETA: I hope people of color are not the only ones liking and reblogging this.
So today in my WGS class we were talking about the basics of class, race, and gender. halfway through definition of race (as by Acker), a white guy in my class raised his hand and said “wait it doesn’t say which race is privileged.” and all I could do was pretty much make this face
I need feminism because a male student can wear this shirt (a sign saying “caution, wet” over a woman’s crotch) to school, but I can’t wear anything that shows my shoulders.
We recently received a lecture on school dress code. Girls cannot wear anything that doesn’t cover their shoulders, even if bra straps aren’t showing (which shouldn’t be a problem anyway). But guys can sag their pants past their butts, and I walked past a student wearing this exact t-shirt yesterday.
